Diaverum - Social media privacy information notice

We are on social media so you can stay up to date on news, ask questions, make suggestions, post pictures and express your opinion on Diaverum-related topics. The social media includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other similar platforms that you use.

We manage all social-media interactions ourselves. If you send us a private or direct message via social media, it will be stored by us until the issue is closed. It will not be shared with any other organizations.

Personnel responsible for our social media can access all interactions and decide how we manage it. For example, if you send a message via social media that needs a response from us, we may process it as an enquiry or a complaint. When contacting Diaverum through a social media platform, we suggest that you also familiarize yourself with the privacy information of that platform.

Social media operators

The operators of Social networks can generally analyze your user behavior if you visit their website or if you visit a website with e.g. like buttons or banner ads. When you visit Diaverum’s social media pages, various processing of your personal data are triggered.

If you are logged in to your social media account and visit our social media page, the operator can log this visit to your user account. Your personal data can also be recorded even if you are not logged in or do not have an account. The data collected in this case could be via cookies stored on your device or by registering your IP address.

This means that the social media operators can create user profiles with preferences and interests, e.g. to show interest-based advertising inside and outside of your social media presence. Interest-based advertising can be displayed on any device you are logged in to or have logged in to.

Please also note that we are not in control of all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, the operators could carry out additional processing of the data. Details can be found in the terms of use and privacy policy of the respective social media portals.

Our Responsibility and Your Rights

When you visit one of our profiles in social media, we, together with the platform operator, are responsible for the data processing. You can exercise your rights (information, correction, and deletion, limitation of processing, data portability and complaint) with us at Diaverum as well as with the social media operator.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the official data protection authority of your choice.

We do not have full influence on the data processing made by the social media operators. Our options are determined by the company policy of the respective provider.

Storage Time

The data collected directly from us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose is no longer valid, you ask us to delete it, or you withdraw your consent. Cookies can remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
